I am preparing for an exam and sometimes, it feels so overwhelming. To tell you the truth, I sometimes get scared that I won’t pass the exam. It is such a big exam and I need to pass it like yesterday. I was, however, feeling fearful, distracted and unmotivated and this fear wasn’t to let me read effectively.

I had hinted the possibility of failure to my friend last week and she literally scolded me. She told me to stop being afraid and start believing. Start confessing positive. I took her advice and changed my mentality and my confession.
This morning, I stumbled upon this song titled ‘CONQUEROR’ by Vashawn Mitchell and it really gave me so much encouragement.

To overcome your fear of failure, this is the tip I want to give you: Read the Bible, believe it and keep confessing what God says you are. When the fear wants to rise up in your heart, confess the word of God. Let this become a habit.

Overcome fear by believing and confessing Gods word

[bctt tweet=”Read, believe, confess what God says you are.”]

What are your afraid of? No matter what situation you are facing today, say these confessions aloud:

  1. “No, in all these things I am more than a conqueror through him who loved me.” Romans 8:37
  2. “I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.” Phillipians 4:13
  3. “For God has not given me a spirit of fear and timidity, but of power, love, and self-discipline.” 2 Timothy 1:7
  4. ” I trust in the LORD with all my heart;  I do not depend on my own understanding. I acknowledge him in all my ways, and he shall direct my paths.” Proverbs 3:5,6
  5. “I am established by the LORD, And He delights in my way. Though I stumble, I will not fall down flat, for the LORD will hold up my hand.” Psalm 37:23,24

Now, these are the lyrics of the song, “Conqueror.”

[Spoken:]
This song is to remind you of the winner within
Regardless of what you’ve seen
Regardless of what you’ve heard
You are a conqueror
You are the head and not the tail
Above and not beneath
The first and not the last
You are a conqueror, a conqueror
A CONQUEROR

[Verse 1:]
I have the power over the enemy
No weapon formed shall prosper against me
Greater is he that is within me
In the end I’ll recieve what he has for me

[Chorus:]
I am a conqueror
Through him that loves me I have the victory
I won’t be defeated
(Ohhh ohhh)
I’ll keep on believing
(Yea Yea)
Every work started in me shall be completed
I am a conqueror
(Conqueror)
Conqueror
(Conqueror)
Conqueror
(Conqueror)
Conqueror
(Conqueror)
Conqueror
(Conqueror)
Conqueror

[Repeat Verse 1]

[Chorus]

[Bridge:]
There is a winner in me
Thanks be to God who gives me the victory
[Repeat 3x and modulate]

[Chorus]

[Spoken]
…Now can all my conquerors make some noise up in here?
Lift your voice
If you are victorious, c’mon claim your victory
and help me say this part in here
Here we go

[Hook:]
I can do all things through Christ that strengthens me
I am, I am
More than a conqueror
[Repeat 2x after lead and modulate]
I’m more than a conqueror
(More than a conqueror)
I’m more than a conqueror
(More than a conqueror)
I’m more than a conqueror, yea
(More than a conqueror)
I’m more than a conqueror
(More than a conqueror)
Now unto him
(More than a conqueror)
Who is able to keep me
(More than a conqueror)
Because of him I’m more than…
(More than a conqueror)
Because of him I’m more than…
(More than a conqueror)
I can do all things
(More than a conqueror)
Through Christ that strengthens me
(More than a conqueror)
I’m more than a conqueror
(More than a conqueror)
I’m more than a conqueror, yea

[Spoken:]
All the conquers make some noise
C’mon make some noise in here
If you’re a conqueror
Shout out
“I’m more than a Conqueror”
Yeaaaa

And there is salvation in no one else; for there is no other name under heaven that has been given among men by which we must be saved. (Acts 4:12 New American Standard Bible).

  1. Self-doubt fuels Fear.

I agree with you, positive confessions and a determined mind-set will eliminate thoughts of failure.

Indeed, the Lord has not given you a spirit of fear and timidity, I wish you the very best. Goo forth and conquer! 🙂
