Notable Verses:

John 18:20 NLT: “Jesus replied, “Everyone knows what I teach. I have preached regularly in the synagogues and the Temple, where the people gather. I have not spoken in secret.” 
Discussion:

  • This chapter describes Jesus’ betrayal, arrest and trials before the High Priest and then Pilate the Roman ruler in Jerusalem. 
  • He did speak up for himself during his trial (v 20,21,23).
  • Peter denied Jesus 3 times (v 17,25,26).
  • Jesus’ Kingdom is not an earthly one (v 36).
  • If you love the truth, you will recognize Jesus’ words as the Truth (v 37).
  • The Jews chose Barabbas over Jesus (v 40). 

Today’s Prayer:
Lord Jesus, I love your Word for it is truth. Please help me to always be bold and unashamed of you. In your name I pray. Amen.
