I have talked in the past about products I use on my face.
I’m one of those people that don’t like changing my staple beauty products except I find something better.
I have other products I use on my face but for the last few months to a year, my favorite face products have been:

  1. Neutrogena Hydroboost gel cream. It has two versions: one for normal to oily skin and the other for extra dry skin. I used the normal/oily skin variant in the summer and the extra dry skin for the winter. It makes my skin really moisturized without making it oily.
  2. Pure Rosehip oil. This has replaced all the previous oils I used on my face. I use this at night on top of the Neutrogena moisturizer I mentioned above. I’m not particular about the brand but just that it has to be pure. I noticed that some bottles have other ingredients included.

I haven’t experienced any increase in acne since I started using these two products.

Also for the last four or five months, I have been using Eau Thermale Avène Cleanance Hydra Crème lavante apaisante//Soothing Cleansing cream. Although it’s called a cleansing cream, it actually produces a bit of lather and has to be rinsed out.

It worked well for me in the past but in the last month, I have observed that it leaves my face feeling stripped and dry. I don’t know if it’s because of the dry winter but I need to get a more moisturising cleanser. I like cleansers that lather but this time, I might opt for a no-rinse cleansing cream. I might return to it during the summer though.

Do you have any suggestions for a cleanser which won’t leave my skin feeling stripped?
What were your favorite products of 2018?
